As an effort to improve the quality of graduates and strengthen the curriculum in a sustainable manner, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) has conducted a collaborative curriculum reconstruction activity involving the Undergraduate Science Education Program, the Master’s Science Education Program, and the Doctoral Science Education Program. This event took place on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. WIB, at the 3rd-floor meeting room of the F Building at FKIP UNS.

The event featured distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Ida Kaniawati, M.Si., Head of the Undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctoral Programs at the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, and Prof. Dr. Sarwanto, S.Pd., M.Si., from the LPPMP UNS. Both speakers shared their experiences and insights on designing curricula that align with current educational needs.

The event began with an opening speech by the Dean of FKIP UNS, Prof. Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si., who emphasized the importance of synergy among programs to achieve an innovative and adaptive curriculum that keeps pace with advancements in science and technology.

In addition to in-depth discussions, participants, both in-person and online via the Zoom platform, were enthusiastic in providing feedback for curriculum improvement. The discussions covered alignment between industry needs, current educational trends, and the competencies required by students for their professional development.

Through this event, FKIP UNS remains committed to continuous innovation in providing high-quality education and cultivating a generation of educators who can make meaningful contributions to the development of science and education in Indonesia.
