Procedures for Submitting Thesis Titles, Proposal Seminar Administration, Research Permits and Thesis Examinations in the Science Education S1 Study Program
To expedite the process of preparing student theses and in accordance with the Circular Letter of the UNS Chancellor, the following describes several online procedures in the context of completing Student Thesis for Science Education Undergraduate Students.
Online Thesis Title Submission
The flow of submitting an online thesis title is as follows:
- Students download the title submission form on the study program website in the thesis menu.
- The next step is to write the title proposal in the form and send it in the form of a Pdf file to be signed by Supervisor I and II in sequence. The complete form before the verifier’s signature is sent to the study program email ipa@fkip.uns.ac.id (with the subject: Name mhsw_FormJudul).
- Prodi will continue the administration to the verifier (Prof. Dr. Suciati) and Kaprodi will then send it back to the sender’s email.
- Students can continue preparing the proposal with the guidance of the two supervisors.
Proposal Seminar registration procedure
The flow to register for the proposal seminar is as follows:
- Students download the semprop registration form on the study program web.
- Fill in the pdf form that has been signed by the student and supervisor in sequence,
- Send the completed form and draft proposal in the form of 1 pdf file to the study program email ipa@fkip.uns.ac.id (with the subject: mhsw_Semprop name) to be signed by the semprop verifier (Margareth Carmelita Nongkang, A.Md.). The file will be signed by Ms. Margareth Carmelita Nongkang, A.Md. and emailed back to the student. Please register the semprop maximum H-7 before the day of the Proposal Seminar agreement.
- Prepare for the next stage to the proposal seminar.
Technical Mechanism of Online Proposal Seminar Implementation
- Proposal seminars are held on weekdays Monday – Friday
- Using Video Conference platforms such as Google Meet, UMeetMe or the like
- Technical Mechanism for Implementing Online Proposal Seminars Proposal seminars are held on working days Monday – Friday
- The seminar is guided by Supervisor I
- The Google Meet link is shared in the WA Group of Science students in the WA group
- The Proposal Seminar is attended by at least 10 students.
- BAP and Semprop administration are the same but filled online (downloaded on the Prodi web)
- The proposal seminar is approximately 60 minutes divided into 3 sessions; a) Session I is the presentation of the thesis proposal by students (15 minutes); b) Session II is questions and answers from seminar participants; c) Session III is questions, input and suggestions from Supervisor II and Supervisor I followed by decisions regarding the continuation of thesis research.
- The attendance list is filled in by students who semprop by writing down the students who attend accompanied by proof of GoogleMeet screenshots.
- All proposal seminar files in pdf that have complete signatures are sent to the study program email ipa@fkip.uns.ac.id
Research permit procedures follow FETT rules regarding online licensing. For the Thesis Coordinator (Prof. Dr. SUciati) and Head of Study Program (Dr. paed. Nurma Yunita Indriyanti, M.Si., M.Sc), please send the letter file in pdf to the study program email ipa@fkip.uns.ac.id, the study program will send it back to mhsw after completing the signature.
Thesis Examination Procedure
Thesis manuscripts and Student Journal Articles are required to be free from plagiarism, with the condition that it has a maximum plagiarism rate of 30%. Before taking care of the registration file, you must check for plagiarism (similarity) by sending a draft thesis consisting of a title page and chapters 1-5 including a bibliography (in the 1-word file) and publication articles to the study program via the link https://forms. gle/UFoXNqUjXAr4bjUf6
- Student submit all document needed in pdf file exam requirement files to academic administrator through ipa@fkip.uns.ac.id
- The academic administrator will verify all document sent.
- Once verified, The Head of the Study Program/Thesis Coordinator through the thesis conveys the name of the thesis examiner team to students;
- The thesis team via email Prodi provides a student PIN to access adminjur.fkip.uns.ac.id;
- Students fill in the data and print the complete exam file from the adminjur.fkip.uns.ac.id page. and create a google drive which contains 3 folders (1) exam requirement files; 2) invitation of examiner lecturers; 3) thesis and ppt files) and share them with the study program email (open access) ipa@fkip.uns.ac.id;
- Study Program sends information related to exam technicalities (zoom links, etc.) via email, then students distribute the invitations to examiners via WA/email;
- The technical implementation of the exam is led by the chief examiner with a maximum duration of 120 minutes (download the technical file);
- The chief examiner must fill out the minutes of the thesis examination form;
- Revision process and revision signature (starting from the chairperson, and secretary, continuing to the two supervisors);
- Signature by the examiner team on the thesis validation sheet in pdf format with a digital signature or it is possible to use a scanned signature or proof of the WA screenshot sent to the Study Program;
- Upload the thesis grades on standby by the Prodi Admin after the revision is declared complete.
