Surakarta, October 12, 2024 – The Science Education Program of FKIP Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) successfully hosted an online Alumni Gathering, attended by alumni, faculty members, and student representatives. The event aimed to strengthen the bonds between alumni and the program while fostering future collaboration opportunities. The gathering was officially opened by Dr. Riezky Maya Probosari, S.Si., M.Si., Head of the Science Education Program at UNS.

In her remarks, Dr. Riezky Maya Probosari expressed her pride in the participation of alumni joining the virtual gathering. She emphasized the importance of the event as a platform to deepen the connections between alumni and the program. “This Alumni Gathering is not just a meeting but also a momentum to initiate closer collaboration in supporting the development of Science Education at UNS. We hope our alumni will continue to contribute to the various activities organized by the program,” stated Dr. Riezky.

The Alumni Gathering aimed to establish a strong network among alumni, students, and faculty, while promoting collaboration on initiatives beneficial to the Science Education Program. Through this event, alumni were able to share their experiences, knowledge, and career opportunities, as well as provide support for students and the program in curriculum development and academic activities.

Although conducted online, the event maintained a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. Alumni shared stories of their career journeys, challenges in their professional fields, and how their experiences in the Science Education Program at UNS shaped their skills and knowledge. The gathering also served as a moment to reminisce about their college days and strengthen friendships.

With a spirit of togetherness and the support of alumni, this gathering is expected to serve as the foundation for various initiatives involving alumni in supporting the program and Science Education at UNS. Proposed programs include seminars, workshops, and social activities involving both alumni and students. The Science Education Program at UNS believes that through this collaboration, Science Education at UNS can continue to grow and make a positive contribution to education in Indonesia.
