We, Eriza Nadya Putri and Syifa Maulidya Atomzeal, are students Department of Science Education 2019 and now, we are in our fourth-year. We will share our story about applying for this International School Internship until our departure.
Welcoming ceremony photo session at TRU, Thailand
It all started on July 16, 2022; Mr. Isma Aziz Fakhrudin announced the registration for the International Teaching Internship via Whatsapp. We were very interested and with strong intentions, we wanted to apply to this program. Since that day, we started preparing all the requirements, such as lesson plans, teaching videos, application forms, GPA, parental consent, recommendation letters, and the signature of the head of the department, Dr.paed. Nurma Yunita Indriyanti, M.Si,M.Sc.
We had different batches. On August 21, 2022, Eriza should be sent all of the requirements in full and on time. Then, Eriza conducted an interview session on August 22, 2022, at 12.00 pm. While atom joined batch 2, so Atom should send all of the requirements on September 18, 2022, and did an interview on the same day At 2.00 pm.
After the interview session, we waited for quite long time. We often opened emails and checked the spam section to see if there was an email related to the announcement of passing the selection. While we were waiting for the announcement, we did teaching internship in Indonesia. Finally, on October 3, we received an email announcing the international teacher internship selection results. Thank God we passed the U to U program with Thepsatri Rajabhat University and will go to Thailand on November 5, 2022. In total, twelve students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education and eight different departments will be part of an international teaching internship.
Before the departure, we prepared many documents, such as passport and 3rd vaccine certificate. The twelve of us also met up to discuss the group preparation, including the group documents like travel insurance and tickets, the local souvenir we will give to TRU, mentors, and buddies, and the performance we will do at the farewell party. We have a short time to prepare everything, including the performance practices.
Release of International School Internship (U to U Seateacher)
On October 26, 2022, the faculty did Release of International teaching internship participants by hybrid. The participants and Lecturer attended offline in the F Building of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, while the parents of internship participants attended online through Zoom Meeting. After that, we did all the preparation until our departure. We departed from Solo on November 4, 2022, organized by PIC from International Office Febriani Sarwendah Asri Nugraheni, M.Pd. Finally, we arrived in Thailand on November 5, 2022.
